Tent based expedition tour for skitourer and splitboarder

The sky slowly turns pink and the peaks that line up seem even more dramatic and rugged than they looked in the daylight. It is a beautiful natural spectacle. The sun stops warming and we have to shovel out a flat where we will place our tents. By the time we are done, night has caught up with us. Meanwhile, the fondue is simmering over the gasoline stove that we entrust for these tours, waiting for hungry athletes. The sky fills with stars, the visibility is crystal clear and the air is ice cold. We take a sip of glühwein and toast to the successful day, chat briefly, and then head to our tents, where we are hugged by warm sleeping bags. Tomorrow will be another magnificent day that will take us to untouched corners of the canton of Uri, far away from everything, and yet very close to the nature that we appreciate so extraordinarily.

Our tent based micro expedition tours are as unique as you are: that’s why we plan them carefully and adventurously, so that we can experience an unforgettable adventure full of breathtaking views, movement and fun in deep snow.

Some of the areas where we offer our tent based tours are:
Muota Valley, Klausen Pass, Urseren Valley, Susten Pass, Grosstal, Erstfelder Valley, Furka Pass and many more.

Vorbereitung auf die Übernachtung

Day 1

At the meeting point we organize our equipment and perform an avalanche transceiver check. After gluing on the skins, we will start the approach towards the first base camp, from where we will decide, depending on the snow cover and weather situation, which peaks we will climb and descend in the afternoon and the day after! The approach on the first day will take between 3 and 6 hours, depending on the pace of all participants and snow conditions. Up to Base Camp the ascent is quite avalanche safe and steady, and does not involve any major difficulties. We set up base camp, have a snack, and decide on an afternoon tour so that all participants are at the same level. Occasionally the afternoon tour may include steep steps that need to be tackled with crampons and ice axe, as well as steep slopes on the descent. After experiencing a fantastic descent, we return to base camp. Nothing stands in the way of a quiet and restful night! We can watch shooting stars, eat and drink warmly and make ourselves comfortable in the expedition tents, read something or chat with our new friends. Comfortably we let the evening come to an end.

Day 2

We eat a warming breakfast and start the next ascent with fantastic views. The summit is again selected with all members, so that everyone is at the same level. The location of the base camp allows everyone to find the right tour, be it something cozy and gentle, or steep couloirs with steep walls for adrenaline lovers!

After 3 to 6 hours of ascent we have reached our destination. Now it’s time to take off the skins and “Send It”!

As soon as we have reached the base camp, everything is dismantled and we head back to the meeting point. The pictures for this incredible micro expedition tour will be taken by a professional photographer. So you can prove to everyone what you have experienced really extraordinary!
