Highlining the

"Hannibal Line"

The "Hannibal tower" is maybe one of the best known jewels for multi pitch climbing in the Furka region.

Bomber granite and stunning views over the glacier make it an unforgettable experience. What not everyone knows:

It's possible to highline from the top!

For average highliners and climbers we developed this one day alpine mission.

Intended Schedule:

07:00

From the meeting point at the Hotel Furkablick, Realp, we start hiking in the direction of the "Hannibal Tower". This is a free-standing granite needle located at 2800 hm, with an impressive view over the Furka area and glacier.

After about two hours of hiking on scree, we reach the base of the climb, and start climbing in multi pitch style (well protected route, 5c+ obligatory). Depending on our guests wish and climbing skills it is possible to choose a more difficult climbing line (max 6c). After 120 meter of climbing, we reach the "Haniline", which will be waiting for our highline session.

12:00

We provide you with a vegetarian picnic style lunch and get ready for some wild balancing action! One after the other we try our best to cross the line, will you be the one that makes it to the other end?

18:00

As our highline session comes to an end, we rappel down from the Hannibal tower and hike back to the meeting point at Hotel Furkablick.
