Requirements: 

No ice climbing experience necessary. 
Generally fit and able to hike at least 1 hour.

Intended Schedule:

 

09:00 

After a brief introduction to how to use ice axes and to climbing technique, we get right down to business! We look for steep routes with increasingly fine holds where we can improve our technique. More experienced participants can climb on lead if they wish. Otherwise we will climb top rope during this adventure. 


12:00

After a short break for tea and snack, we change sectors and look for new challenging routes to climb. After this adventure you will be able to go climbing independently drytooling routes.

Execution: 

We will confirm if the tour is taking place per e-mail latest:

if it's a weekend tour 1 day before it begins (from 11:00)

if it's a multi day tour 2 days before it begins (from 17:00)

Material

 

 

Clothing:

  • Hard shell jacket
  • Soft shell or fleece jacket
  • Breathable clothes
  • Beanie, 2x gloves

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Sunglasses
  • Sun and lip cream
  • Water bottle
  • Ev. camera and power bank
  • Sturdy shoes with hard sole (crampons compatible)
  • Backpack (10-30l)

 

Technical equipment:

  • Helmet
  • Climbing harness

  • Crampons with horizontal tips, if available

  • 2 Ice axes, if available

 

Catering:

  • Snacks: These will be eaten between breakfast and dinner, so pack enough for the days of the tour. Dried fruit, chocolate, cheese, wholemeal bread and energy bars suit well. To avoid your backpack from being too heavy, try not to bring too much food with you.
  • Snacks and tea: included in this tour. As a commitment to animal welfare, we do not offer fish/meat. We still try our best to keep the menu as exciting as possible despite logistical difficulties. Please notify us in advance of any special dietary needs.

 

Covid-19 measures:

  • 100ml disinfectant
  • Protective masks (2 per day)
