Intended Schedule:

At the meeting point, we organize our equipment and perform an avalanche transceiver check.

After applying the skins, we start our approach towards the summit with dream views!

The ascent takes between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the pace of all participants and snow conditions.

Occasionally, the tour includes steep steps that must be climbed with crampons and ice axe, as well as steep slopes on the descent. Very good skiing skills, as well as experience using crampons and ice axes are absolutely mandatory for this tour!

Once at the top, we enjoy warming sun rays and breathtaking views. After a fortifying tea, we prepare for a fantastic descent in deep snow. Steep couloirs, north-facing slopes and adrenaline rush are waiting for us! Skins off, ski boots tightened, avalanche beacon on "send" and let's go!

Execution: 

We will confirm if the tour is taking place per e-mail latest:

if it's a weekend tour 1 day before it begins (from 11:00)

if it's a multi day tour 2 days before it begins (from 17:00)

Material



Clothing:

  • Hard shell jacket
  • Soft shell or fleece jacket
  • Breathable clothes
  • Beanie, gloves


Miscellaneous:

  • Sunglasses
  • Sun and lip cream

  • Ev. camera and power bank
  • Sturdy shoes for the approach
  • Backpack (10-30l)


Technical equipment:

  • Helmet
  • Ski with ski touring bindings, climbing skins, ski crampons

  • LVS Set (LVS device, shovel, probe)

  • Avalanche airbag, if available

  • Ice axe and crampons


Catering:

  • Snacks: These will be eaten between breakfast and dinner, so pack enough for the days of the tour. Dried fruit, chocolate, cheese, wholemeal bread and energy bars suit well. To avoid your backpack from being too heavy, try not to bring too much food with you.
  • Snacks and tea: included in this tour. As a commitment to animal welfare, we do not offer fish/meat. We still try our best to keep the menu as exciting as possible despite logistical difficulties. Please notify us in advance of any special dietary needs.

- The exact Tour will be defined and notified in advance, depending on the skiing ability of the participants and snow conditions;

- This tour is more suitable for advanced skiers, as good skiing skills are required as well as endurance for the ascent.

Furthermore, this is our most demanding Freeride tour in the range, which requires some experience in freeriding and mountaineering.
