On slightly rising terrain, we will go up to one of the most snow-sure and avalanche-free panoramic mountains in the canton of Uri.

 

We will give you the necessary knowledge for mastering easy ski tours, as well as tips and tricks,

to enjoy an exciting descent in deep snow!

Requirements: 

No ski touring experience necessary.

No hairpin turns necessary.
Moderate skiing ability, parallel turns.
Generally fit and able to hike at least 3 hours.

Intended Schedule:

 

08:00

At the meeting point, we organize our equipment and perform an avalanche transceiver check.

After applying the skins, we start our approach towards the summit with dream views!

The ascent takes between 3 and 5 hours, depending on the pace of all participants and snow conditions.

 

13:00

Once at the top, we enjoy warming sun rays and breathtaking views. After a fortifying tea, we prepare for a fantastic descent in deep snow.

Skins off, ski boots tightened, avalanche beacon on "send" and let's go!

Additional service: summit fondue

For an extra charge of 40.- CHF it is possible to enjoy a tasty fondue on the summit. Please request this extra service in advance.
 

Splitboarder are welcome to join the experience, as the tour does not include any steep traversing or hairpin turns.

We will confirm if the tour is taking place per e-mail latest:

if it's a weekend tour 1 day before it begins (from 11:00)

if it's a multi day tour 2 days before it begins (from 17:00)

Clothing:

  • Hard shell jacket
  • Soft shell or fleece jacket
  • Breathable clothes
  • Beanie, gloves

  • Sturdy shoes for the approach
  • Backpack (10-30l)


Technical equipment:

  • Helmet
  • Ski with ski touring bindings, climbing skins

  • LVS Set (LVS device, shovel, probe)

  • Avalanche airbag, if available


Catering:

  • Snacks: These will be eaten between breakfast and dinner, so pack enough for the days of the tour. Dried fruit, chocolate, cheese, wholemeal bread and energy bars suit well. To avoid your backpack from being too heavy, try not to bring too much food with you.
  • Snacks and tea: included in this tour. As a commitment to animal welfare, we do not offer fish/meat. We still try our best to keep the menu as exciting as possible despite logistical difficulties. Please notify us in advance of any special dietary needs.
